Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones is a British actress and producer better recognized by her stage name Suranne Jones. Her fame has been built by portraying the character of Ruth Slater in the miniseries 'Unforgiven', Detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama "Scott & Bailey as well as G.P. Gemma Foster in the medical drama 'Doctor Foster'. The actress is originally from Chadderton, Greater Manchester, Jones was a member of The Oldham Theatre Workshop and received her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at the Oldham Theatre Workshop. In the age of just eight, Jones began acting in a play called 'Wait Till Dark.' She played Gloria. Her first appearance on screen in 1997, as a character in an episode in the show "Coronation Street". It was in 2000 that she appeared on the show to portray Karen McDonald. The years that followed her departure from the soap operas, she played a range of characters on television programs such as 'Vincent" The 'Strictly Confidential" and Harley Street. On the big screen she was in films like "Love and A Long Shot", 'Broken Hearts' as well as 'A Christmas Star'.
